Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has condoled with his Delta Counterpart, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on the death of his father,Chief Arthur Okowa.
The Governor in a condolence message personally signed by him said Chief Okowa died at a time when Delta State and Nigeria yearn for his wisdom.
” The news of your octagenarian father’s passage came to me as a shock.
” Although he was alternately ill before his death, as mere mortals we never expected that his transition is near.
” However, we all take solace in the subliminal truth that God giveth and only Him taketh.
” There is no gainsaying the fact that Chief Arthur Okorie Uzoma Okowa JP (aka AOU) died at a time when not only your family and yourself needed him the most, but at a time when Delta State and the whole of Nigeria certainly yearn for his wisdom and guidance.
”A venerated community leader of reputable standing, who until his death was the Ojenenyigbe of Owa and Okpara Uku of Idumuebor quarter in Owa-Alero, or (the Oldest Living Person in his quarter before his death), Papa will be surely missed by all of us.
” On behalf of the government and good people of Sokoto State, I wish to express our heartfelt grief and in the same breath send you our condolences.
” We pray that the Almighty God accept him in his bosom and grant you, your distinguished family and the people of Ika North-East local government area; as well as Delta State, the fortitude to bear this big loss.Your Excellency, please take heart.
