Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has warned former President, Goodluck Jonathan against joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest for the 2023 presidency.
There have been reported moves to get Jonathan to join the APC to contest the 2023 presidency.
On Friday, youth and women groups demonstrated outside of Jonathan’s office in the Maitama area of Abuja.
They wanted the former president to come out and vie for the presidency, saying they regretted rejecting him in 2015 and that they believed he is now the best man for the job.
But Sani, in a post on his Twitter handle warned that Jonathan should not deceive himself in thinking he could get the APC ticket.
He also warned that he should not allow the APC to deceive him into joining them.
He wrote: “GEJ should not deceive himself nor allow them to deceive him.”
