The Senate on Wednesday announced Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru (APC-Kwara South) as the new Deputy Leader to fill the vacant position left by Senator David Umahi.
The Senate also announced Senator Nwebonyi Peter Onyekachi (APC-Ebonyi North) as the new Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate.
Umahi left the Senate Deputy Leader position vacant after he was appointed Minister of Works by President Bola Tinubu.
While Onyekachi replaces Ashiru, who was the erstwhile Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced the new replacements during plenary.
