The Senate on Monday commenced the confirmation hearing of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominees.
This followed a motion moved by the Senate Leader, Senator Dave Umahi.
Last week, Tinubu transmitted a 28-man list of ministerial nominees to the senate for screening.
The minister-designate list was sent to the senate through Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
The list has drawn much controversy from various sections of the country.
However, the exercise to confirm or reject the nominees is now underway at the Senate.
The Senate are currently screening 16 Ministerial nominees submitted by President Tinubu in Abuja.
The following are the Ministerial Nominees being screened today;
- Sen. Abubakar S. Kyari – Borno State
- Abubakar Eshiokpekha Momoh – Edo State
- Nyesom Ezenwo Wike – Rivers State
4, Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev – Benue State
- Sen. John Owan Enoh – Cross River State
- Hon.(Bar) Bello Muhammad -Sokoto State
- Mohammed Badaru Abubakar – Jigawa State
- Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar – Bauchi State
- Sen. Abubakar Sani Danladi – Taraba State
- Barr. Uju-Ken Ohaneye – Anambra State
- Hon. (Dr). Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo – Ondo State
- Dr. Betta C. Edu – Cross River State
- Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim – Nasarawa State
- Arch. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa – Katsina State
- Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji – Enugu State
