The House of Representatives has passed the 2024 Budget, increasing the proposed budget by more than N1 trillion.
The House, at its special session on Saturday, increased the budget from the N 27.5 trillion proposed by President Bola Tinubu to N28.7 trillion.
The lawmakers held a special session on to consider the report of the Committee on Appropriations submitted by Abubakar Bichi.
Following the debate on the report, the budget was passed by the House.
The President must sign the budget within the next 24 hours in order to keep up with the January-December budget cycle.
