The Zamfara State Deputy Executive Governor, Mahdi Aliyu Muhammed has flagged off distribution of food commodities which over one thousand beneficiaries will benefit to support their Ibadat during the month long fasting period.

Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Governor thanked Allah for another opportunity to witness year 2021 Ramadan.

He said the distribution of food stuffs is in conformity with the tradition and to advance major strategies of supporting less privileged people among Muslim Ummah especially during the month of Ramadan .

According to him, the blessing month is full of sacrifices, good gestures and compliments to the needies in the society, as God double the rewards to the givers.

The Deputy Governor, who explained that beneficiaries will take home series of rice, sugar, carton of milk, millet and spaghetti, it was aimed at helping them have something to start with.

He called on wealthy individuals in the State to donate generously assorted food stuffs and any other kind of assistance that would make our people and neighbours comfortable during the fasting period.
