Salihu Yakasai, the Peoples’ Redemption Party (PRP) gubernatorial candidate in Kano State, has congratulated Abba Yusuf, the governor-elect of the state, on his victory at the Saturday poll.
In a statement issued by Suhaib Auwal Gwagwarwa, Yakasai’s spokesperson, he said,
“I wish to congratulate my brother, Abba Kabir Yusuf, of NNPP for emerging victorious in the recently concluded governorship election.”
He expressed optimism that he (the governor-elect) would use his experience to move the state forward, considering how the state has gone backwards in different areas of development.
He urged him to work hard to revive the reputation of the state.
He also thanked the party’s leaders, supporters, family friends and all who voted for Yusuf to ensure his victory brings the much-needed dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
