President Bola Tinubu will travel to Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, on Thursday, November 16 to join other Heads of State and Government in commemorating the country’s 50th Independence Anniversary and Armed Forces Day.
The President is expected to meet with his Guinean counterpart, President Umaro Sissoco Embalo.
“Guinea-Bissau marked its 50th Independence Anniversary on September 24, 2023, but the Government had scheduled all celebrations for November 16, 2023,” a statement by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale said on Wednesday.
The President is scheduled to return to Nigeria on Thursday
