Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have restored normalcy to the Ile Epo Area of the state following the civil unrest reported in the early hours of Monday.
Pandemonium ensued in the early hours of Monday at the Ile-Epo Market as okada riders were said to have engaged the police a battle following alleged killing of one of their members by a police officer.
The entire market was deserted as irate youths went on rampage and attacked the Ile-Epo police station.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Olumuyiwa Adejobi said that the State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu had ordered for thorough investigation into the incident.

He also debunked the rumour that the Ile Epo Police Station was set ablaze by the hoodlums.
“This news is false and should be disregarded. The command intends to give details of the incident as soon as possible,” the statement added.
