Adura Aloba, younger brother of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad has been arrested by the police.

He was arrested by men of the Zone 2 police command in Lagos state alongside his friend, Ibrahim Koleosho aka King White, on the premises of the Magistrates’ Court in the Ogba area of Lagos State on Wednesday, March 19.

Reports claim they were arrested over a petition filed by actor and activist, Yomi Fabiyi on Friday, December 13, 2024, alleging that the deceased’s brother initiated an Instagram chat wherein he claimed to have video evidence of how Mohbad died.

Fabiyi in the petition he posted on his social media handles, alleged that Adura demanded the sum of N3m to be paid in Bitcoin in exchange for the video evidence.

However, Adura denied the allegation stating that the chat was from Ayinde whom he had sold his phone. A forensic investigation has since been conducted while the court is still probing the case.

Reacting to the arrest, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Aloba in a viral video on social media, said Adura was arrested by unknown gunmen suspected to be police outside the court.

While calling on Nigerians to come to her rescue, Abosede accused popular Nollywood actor and rights activist, Yomi Fabiyi of being responsible for Adura’s arrest.

She said, “Please help me, people of God! It’s Yomi Fabiyi. They have taken away my son, Adura and I don’t know where they are taking him. The gunmen kidnapped him after the court sitting.

“Yomi Fabiyi and Sam Jojo that kidnapped him. My son did nothing to them. Adura is innocent, Nigerians, please stand by me. They must not lay a hand on my son. They must not beat him because he is sick

“The real culprit has already confessed to doing it”.
