The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a medical doctor identified as Idara Bassey over the death of a 36-year-old woman simply identified as Abiola, who died during a butt enlargement surgery.
The spokesman of Lagos Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday.
Bassey’s arrest is coming days after the security operatives declared the doctor wanted.
Hundeyin further disclosed that the doctor is being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba.
Abiola had, on August 26, left her home in Diamond Estate, Sangotedo, Ibeju Lekki area of the state, to the clinic for the operation, but unfortunately, had tragically died after a nurse at the clinic administered an injection to her.
Her driver subsequently reported the incident at the Maroko Police Division, but the doctor fled.
