A kidnappers’ den at Galadimawa forest in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State has been raided by Policemen attached to Operation Restore Peace.
Police spokesperson in the state, Mohammed Jalinge said the fierce encounter led to the arrest of a suspected bandit and recovery of two loaded rifles.
He also said some of the bandits fled into the forest with varying degrees of bullet injury.
He said; “The brave operatives succeeded in arresting one of the bandits named Yusuf Monore ‘M’ 20 years with 2 AK 47/49 rifles, with five rounds of live 7.62 X 39mm ammunition.
“Other recovered items include three Techno phone handsets and a torchlight.”
Police commissioner in the state, Yekini Ayoku commended the gallantry exhibited by the officers who partook in the operation called for robust synergy among security forces in the state.
The suspect on the other hand is undergoing interrogation.
