Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, says a committee has been constituted for the resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the state.
Mutfwang spoke on Wednesday during a visit to communities in Riyom and Mangu LGAs recently attacked by suspected terrorists.
Plateau is one of the northern states battling security challenges that have resulted in the killing and displacement of many residents.
“I want to assure you that you all are going to be well taken care of and subsequently returned to your ancestral homes,” Mutfwang said.
The governor said he would revisit the land-grabbing law and also look into the anti-land-grabbing task force.
He urged residents to live peacefully with one another regardless of religion and tribe.
He said the committee would be high-powered and led by Josephine Piyo, deputy governor of the state.
