Some women in Owo community have gathered to summon “Ogun” (god of iron and war) to get justice for worshippers killed by gunmen in attack on the community.
120 persons were victims of last Sunday’s terror attack at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa street, Owo.
While 40 lost their lives to the horrific attack, 61 survivors are on admission at various hospitals in Owo and 26 have been discharged.
Hence the visibly angry women on Wednesday gathered to protest the killing while raining curses on the perpetrators.
The angry protesters visited the seven traditional and revered sites in the town, where they invited the god of iron to get justice for the victims.
On their way to the shrine, the protesters chanted incantations and declared that the killers won’t know peace until they are brought to book.
Meanwhile, markets in the ancient town remained closed since Sunday.
