Former Liverpool striker Micheal Owen has urged Mohammed Salah to sign a new contract with the club.
The legend who has scored 158 goals in 297 appearances for Liverpool has informed the Egyptian to sign a new contract with the club on Friday
He also as Salah about the club’s options at the moment and also advised to give him more time.
The Liverpool top scorer in all competition this season will be out of contract in 2023 which may force him out of the club for free if he did not sign a new contract with the Reds.
In an interview with BBC Sport, Owen said; “I’d be very surprised if Mo Salah didn’t sign with Liverpool. What are the options at the moment?
“You are only going either sideways to Manchester City or down anywhere else because there is no one else as good as these two teams in the world at the moment.
In his words, he said, “let’s give everyone time because these things don’t happen overnight.
“You are talking about one of the biggest clubs in the world and one of the biggest players in the world and that player is about to sign the biggest contract of his life.”
