Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday, visited the scene of a gas explosion that occurred in the sabogari area of Kano state.
So far nine bodies have been recovered from the rubles, while some other persons sustained injuries during the incident which occurred earlier on Tuesday.
Osinbajo, who is in Kano to meet with delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on his presidential bid, commiserated with the victims’ families.

“ During an already scheduled engagement with stakeholders of our party in Kano, on arrival in Kano We visited the Sabon-Gari site of the explosion in Kano to assess the situation, grieve with the families, and to commiserate with the school and community.

“This very sad and unfortunate incident emphasizes the importance of our collective responsibility to be proactive in implementing measures that protect the lives of all citizens.”
