The Ikare Muslim Council has sacked the Chief Imam of Ikare Mosque, Sheikh Abubakar Muhammed Abba.
The decision was reached at a meeting held on October 9, 2022.
This was confirmed in a letter dated October 10, 2022 .
In the letter ,signed by the council’s chairman, Adewale Jimoh Abayomi and the secretary, Alhaji R. Ayeigbusi, it was revealed that the Olukare of Ikare, Oba Saliu Akadiri Momoh IV, approved the decision.
Meanwhile, the League of Imams and Alfas in the state has rejected the sack of Sheikh Abbas.
The group said its stand was in line with the decision and resolution of the Ikare Muslim Community crisis by the Ondo State Government.
