Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo has appointed Chief Daniel Orbih, the South-South Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as chairman, Governing Council of Ambrose Alli University, AAU.
Orbih’s appointment was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
Orbih was named chairman of the seven-man board of the university.
Other members of the board are
Martins Osakwe, Prof. Steve Amiemenkharu Iyayi, Lukman Muhammad, Prof. Idialu Jeremiah Uwaifo, Prof. Eric Kelly Inanemo Omogbai and Prof. Omoruyi Ikponmwonse Osahon.
Ikhilor said the appointment of the Governing Council takes immediate effect from December 31, 2024.
