The Delta State Government says the multi-billion naira Ogheye Floating Market in a riverine community in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta state will be inaugurated in November.
This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Works (Highways), Mr Noel Omodon, while briefing newsmen on some of the decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting, presided by Gov Ifeanyi Okowa on Friday in Asaba.
Omodon said that government has approved for the contractor to complete the water treatment plant at the Ogheye market to enable its inauguration come November.
According to him, government also approved the repudiation of the contract for Ayokoromo Bridge, Burutu LGA to ensure speedy completion of the project before the end of the administration.
He said that government had approved the transmission of the 2023 budget to the State House of Assembly for its consideration and approval.
Omodon, also said that the council approved upward reviews of many roads, bridge and housing projects to reflect realities of the moment and enable contractors complete the projects in recorded time.
