Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has presented 15 operational vehicles to Edo State Community Vigilante Security Network to enhace their performance.
Presenting the vehicles to them on Monday the Governor lauded their efforts in dislodging kidnappers in the state, as well as supporting the federal security agencies in ensuring the security of lives and property in Edo State.
The Governor assured that effort are ongoing to procure sophisticated gadget to ease their operations.
” We are making arrangements for more security gadgets to protect and ease the operations of our vigilante. Also, we have made provision at the Ogida training school to train members of the Edo State Community Vigilante Security Network.
“My administration will put in place a legislation to strengthen the security network and help it discharge its responsibilities effectively.”
