The National University Commission (NUC) has recognized and approved the operational license of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University Ogboko, Imo State as the 42nd State owned University in Nigeria.
To this end the commission today handed over the certificate o the University to Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma in Abuja.
The handover was performed by the executive Secretary of the commission at a brief event held at the headquarters of the commission.
While presenting the letter, Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed, the Executive Secretary of the Commission, congratulated Governor Uzodimma and assured him of the commission’s readiness to assist the state in her academic strides.
It will be recalled that following the recovery of the institution by the State Government, the Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA) passed a law establishing the K. O Mbadiwe University, Ogboko and by this license, all is now set for the institution to offer full academic activities for the accredited courses.
