Operatives of the Nigerian Civil Defence and Security Corps have arrested a syndicate who specializes in vandalism of petroleum pipelines, illegal bunkering, illegal dump sites and storage facilities in Ondo State.

The Commandant General Special Intelligence Squad of the Corps burst and arrested the eight suspects at Olowo Community, Ondo state.

A statement by the command said the operatives of the Special Intelligence Squad who acted on credible intelligence recovered 70 kegs of 25 litres of adulterated AGO;Twenty eight (28) Jerry Cans of 25 litres each filled with suspected adulterated AGO.

Other items recovered are; a black Toyota Sequia with registration number Lagos APP 134 DX loaded with illegal products , 6 pumping machines and 1 counting machine, 19 kegs (25 litres) of adulterated AGO, drums (200 litres) of suspected AGO, 2 drums (200 litres) half filled with AGO, 2 drums (200litres) quarter filled with AGO, 2 storage tanks (3500 litres) of adulterated AGO among others.

“Also underground storage tank with four (4) compartments of 20,800 litres of adulterated petroleum products was also discovered at the crime scene.

“In addition, 1 suspect with a Toyota Sequia car loaded with 102 Jerricans of suspected adulterated AGO was intercepted and arrested.

“1 truck loaded with 45,000 litres of suspected adulterated petroleum products with a forged waybill was also arrested at Ore, along the Benin / Lagos expressway in ondo along with 2 suspects.”
