President elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has denied secretly meeting with Justice Kayode Ariwoola, the chief justice of Nigeria in London.
A report by an online publication, Peoples Gazette had alleged that Ariwoola secretly flew to London, while pretending to be ill.
A trending image on social Media shows an old man who appears to be the chief justice on a wheelchair in a foreign location.
Reacting to the claim in a statement, APC Campaign spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga said the party vehemently denied the allegation, adding that president-elect is currently in Paris, France, and not in the UK.
“The story was a pure concoction from the hallucinating minds of hatchet men bent on creating doubts and public distrust about the legitimacy of our recent election, which was won by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
“We refute emphatically that there has been no clandestine meeting between the president-elect and the respected chief justice of our country, anywhere. It’s pure fabricated news, groundless in fact and authenticity.” the statement read in part
