Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has announced 404 new COVID-19 cases in the country as total infections from the virus increased to 42,208.
The NCDC made this known on its official twitter handle on Wednesday.
The health agency noted that five more persons have died from the disease bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 873.
It stated that Lagos, the nation’s COVID-19 epicentre, reported 106 new cases, while FCT reported 54.
Other States with fresh infections are Among others states with new cases were: Rivers (48),Plateau (40),Edo (29), Enugu (21),Oyo(20) ,Kano (18), Ondo (15),Ogun (10), Ebonyi(9), Ekiti(8), Kaduna (6) ,Cross River (5),Kwara (4), Anambra(3),Delta (3), Imo (2),Nasarawa (2), Borno (1).
According to it, till date,19,004 cases have been discharge from various Isolation Centers across the country.
