The Niger State Civil Service Commission (CSC),has discovered a job
racketeering syndicate that specializes in collecting money from applicants during recruitment exercise.
The Chairman of the Commission, Alh. Shehu Yusuf Galadima disclosed this recently.
He revealed members of the syndicate to include Mohammed Kudu from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Head office, Ibrahim Sani Aliyu of the Hiltop Model School and Aliyu Abdullahi Takuma from State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB) office all in Minna.
The suspects were allegedly involved in collecting money from unsuspecting applicants under the guise of securing jobs for them.
The CSC Chairman said the suspects have been handed over to the GRA Division of the Nigeria Police Force for discreet investigation.
The Chairman reiterated the commitment of the organization in ensuring that the process is not hijacked by saboteurs adding that getting it right at the recruitment stage will impact positively on the Civil Service delivery,for the overall benefit of the state.
The Police Public Relations officer (PRO) DSP Wasiu Abiodun when contacted, confirmed the arrest add that the suspects are under investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Minna.
