Another positive case of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Ondo State. The State Governor, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, personally made this confirmation on Saturday via his handle. This fresh positive case brings the number of Covid-19 cases in Ondo State to four.
The new case; according to the Governor; is a Police Officer who was tested in Lagos State but came to the state after which he went back to Lagos and then returned to Ondo State again for treatment.
While frowning at the attitude of the Police Officer, the Governor noted with dismay the ineptitudeness of policemen in securing the state’s borders given the worrisome level of porosity at the entry points to the state, after series of directives to ensure strict compliance with closure of the state’s border had been issued by the government.
Akeredolu further urged the state Commissioner of Police, Undie Adie, to double up efforts in securing the state’s borders.
