Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has reiterated his commitment to deepening reforms and diversifying the state’s economy, to consolidate on the progress recorded in his first term in office.
In his maiden address at his inauguration ceremony in Benin on Thursday, Governor Obaseki who credited his victory at the polls to God said his re-election represent a new hope for the restoration of confidence in democracy and its institutions.
Governor Obaseki stressed the need for all Edo Indigenes to come together forget the past and find a way of making the state great again.
He said ; ” we are, indeed, kith and kin with a common destiny, I urged all Edo people to stop dwelling on the past. It is now time to take our collective destinies in our own hands and commence the arduous task of Making Edo Great Again.

The Governor also assured the people that his administration will continue to provide value for their money (tax revenues) by utilizing it judiciously, transparently and with accountability, especially in view of existential challenges arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.
