The Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, on Friday received the Kankara abducted schoolboys at the state house.
The students were transported from Zamfara State were they were rescued to Katsina State on Friday morning.
The Governor assured them that they will be properly taken care of before being handed to their parents.
He also assured them that they will each go through proper medical checks while adding that their education will also be taken care of.
Some of the rescued students narrated their ordeal in the hands of their abductors.
One of the students said that their abductors fed them with only two pieces of kuli kuli twice a day.
According to him, “They gave us only two pieces of kuli kuli twice daily and we drank from a nearby pond. We really tasted hell”, he said.
Another boy said they were made to defecate in the same place that they slept.
Earlier, another student told reporters that they trekked for two days in the bush barefooted before they reached the camp they were kept.
The students were released on Thursday, nearly a week after they were kidnapped by gunmen.
