A middle-aged man, Michael Ogungbemi, has been arrested by Operatives of the Edo State Security Corps (ESSC), for allegedly defiling his underage stepdaughter and her schoolmate.of two under-aged girls.
The suspect was arrested at Ogbegun community, Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the State, where he violated the victims who are both 13-year-old and in JSS1.
It was gathered that the suspect had allegedly repeatedly s3xually assaulted his step daughter while her mother was at work, often sending her younger siblings on errands to create opportunities for the assaults.
It was further learnt that the suspect encouraged his step daughter to bring her friend, a JSS I student, to their home where he also allegedly def!led her after multiple attempts.
The suspects threatened both victims with d3ath if they disclose the abuse to anyone.
According to reports, the JSS I student suddenly felt ill in the school and her female teacher, who noticed her condition, quickly informed her parents who rushed her to the hospital for treatment.
Upon examination by the doctor, it was discovered that she had contracted an infection.
After much pressure, the minor disclosed that the suspect has been having canal knowledge of her and his step daughter.
The parents were said to have immediately contacted the Corps and the suspect was promptly arrested.
The suspect reportedly confessed to the crime, while blaming his action on the devil.
The Corps Deputy Commander, Richard Balogun, who confirmed the incident said the suspect was arrested following a tip off and has been handed over to police for prosecution.
