A 23-year-old man, Godspower Adigheti has allegedly hacked his 22-yr- Old girlfriend, Gift Oloku to death for destroying his iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Oloku, a student of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, was said to be cohabiting with Adigheti.
The duo had engaged in a fight over her activities in the house.
It was gathered that in the process of the heated argument, the screen of the suspect’s iPhone 11 Pro Max was smashed.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said the lady died in a hospital.
He said, “On July 16, 2022, the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ozoro received a distress call that one Godspower Adigheti, 23, of Oramudu quarters, inflicted machete cuts on his 22-year-old girlfriend, Gift Oloku.
“The lady was taken to a hospital where she was confirmed dead.
Meanwhile, the suspect is in custody and investigation is ongoing into the matter.”
