38years Old Babatunde Adura has been jailed by the Kogi State High Court sitting at Isanlu, in the Yagba East Local Government Area of the state.
Adura was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment for robbery and six months for criminal conspiracy.
The convict was arraigned alongside two others in 2020 for armed robbery and criminal conspiracy, but his accomplices escaped from prison during the December 2021 Kabba jailbreak.
Justice Abubakar Ibrahim, the trial judge found the convict guilty of the offence on Wednesday after he confessed to the sale of items carted away during the robbery.
The robbery occurred in August 2020 at Olukere-Amuro in the Mopa-Moro LGA of the state, where Adura and his gang members broke into many houses and dispossessed victims of valuables, including phones.
