A 32 year old bricklayer, Ifedayo Mohammed has been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ondo town, Ondo State, for allegedly recording, without consent, the nude of a woman, Faith Ogunyemi.
The 32-year-old defendant was said to have committed the offence on Ore-Ofe Street, Ile-Oluji, the headquarters of the Ile-Oluji/Oke Igbo Local Government Area of the state in May 2022.
He was arrested and charged with three counts of breach of public peace.
The defendant was alleged to have recorded the lady’s nude with his phone and later requested a sum of N20,000 from the woman.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The defence counsel, Mr Anthony Akinbinu, applied for bail in liberal terms.
The magistrate, Mrs Mosunmola Ikujuni, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with one credible surety in like sum.
She adjourned the case till July 14, 2022, for trial.
