The Lagos State Ministry of Science and Technology says it has renovated six existing geographical/meteorological gardens in six public schools in each of the educational districts in the state.
The Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Hakeem Fahm disclosed this in Lagos,he said the renovation was part of the ministry’s core responsibilities to promote and development Science and technology.
Fahm disclosed that each of the gardens has been equipped with various weather data measuring instruments, two Laptop Computers, Enterprise Metrological Software and a building to serve as the weather station.

The Commissioner informed that the renovated geographical/meteorological gardens are located within the premises of Bolade School Complex, Oshodi; Abesan High School Complex, Alimosho; Wahab Folawiyo Secondary School, Osborne Road, Ikoyi;Mainland Senior High School, Fadeyi; Maryland School Complex, Maryland; and Agboju Senior Secondary School, Agboju.
He however reiterated the continued support of Lagos State government to science and create enabling environment, through policies in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda and the need to equip students with the knowledge and skill for the 21st-century economy.
