The Lagos State Government has announced a night traffic diversion for the installation of a truck barrier at the Ojuelegba Flyover, near the Fire Station.
The Ojuelegba flyover will be closed from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
In a statement on Thursday, Lagos Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, advised motorists to follow the designated diversion routes during the installation.
He recommended that those traveling from Eko Bridge, Costain, and Iponri towards Ojuelegba use the service lane from the National Stadium gate to link Barracks and reach their destinations.
Osiyemi urged drivers to remain patient, noting that the closure is scheduled for nighttime as part of a traffic management strategy aimed at preventing accidents and saving lives
