According to the police, the incident occurred on 29 April 2025, when Ajibade allegedly forced his way into the residence of the complainant, Miss Pedro, at 171 Prince Oniru Ademola Street, Oniru, Lekki, and proceeded to touch her breasts and other private parts without her consent.

He reportedly attempted to strip her of her clothing before she raised an alarm.

Neighbours, alerted by her distress, quickly intervened and detained the suspect. A distress call was then sent to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Maroko Division, CSP Raji Ganiyu, who dispatched officers to the scene to arrest Ajibade.

Following a detailed investigation led by Inspector Racheal Anthony, the defendant was arraigned before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, sitting at Tinubu, Lagos Island, on a two-count charge bordering on forcible entry and sexual assault.

The police prosecutor, Cyriacus Osuji, informed the court that Ajibade’s actions violated Sections 264(1)(2) and 263(1)(2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, which criminalise unlawful sexual contact and entry without consent.

Ajibade pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Presiding Chief Magistrate, Mrs Gbajumo Ayoku, granted the defendant bail in the sum of ₦300,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She ordered that Ajibade be remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility until the bail conditions are fulfilled.

The case was adjourned to 7 May 2025 for mention.
