They were sentenced by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Special Offences Court for kidnapping one Sylvanus Ahanonu Hafia and collecting $420,000 as ransom from his family.
The duo were accused of conspiring and kidnapping Hafia at about 5:30 pm on June 23, 2014, at Kara Street, Amuwo Odofin in Lagos.
They were alleged to have detained the victim and demanded a ransom of $2m as condition for his release.
They pleaded not guilty to the four charges but the judge found them guilty.
The judge held that the sentence would serve as a deterrent to other aspiring kidnappers.
Monday’s jail term is the second sentence against the kidnap kingpin as he had earlier been sentenced to Life imprisonment.
Justice Hakeem Oshodi had earlier sentenced him and two others to life imprisonment for conspiracy and the kidnap of the Managing Director of Maydon Pharmaceuticals Limited, Donatus Dunu.
