Kebbi Boat Mishap: Sokoto Govt Donates N40m To Families of Victims

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has donated N40million on behalf of the state to families of the victims of the recent boat mishap at Wara of Ngaski local government area of Kebbi state

Tambuwal made the donation on Saturday in Government House, Birnin Kebbi, when he commiserated with the people and government of the state over the loss of lives as a result of boat mishap.

The governor expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident and prayed to Allah to forgive and grant Aljannat Firdausi to those who lost their lives in the incident.

Tambuwal also condoled the Kebbi state government over the loss of the lives occasioned by series of bandits attacks in parts of Kebbi state recently.

Expressing worries over the preponderance of such security breaches banditry in Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna and Niger states, Gov. Tambuwal appealed to the people of the areas affected to continue giving support to their respective state governments and security agencies.in order to find lasting solution to the challenges.

Responding, Gov. Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state thanked the governor for the visit and support, praying to Allah to reward him abundantly.

In a similar development, Gov. Tambuwal also condoled Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Iliyasu Bashar over the loss of his brother, Magajin Raha, Alhaji Haliru Iliyasu Bashar.
