Bandits have released 14 out of the over 40 worshippers kidnapped by bandits in Madala, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna.
Recall that gunmen stormed the Bege Baptist Church during service on Sunday, May 7, and abducted the victims including children.
The chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna State, Rev Joseph John Hayab confirmed the development to newsmen in a terse message on Thursday, May 11.
He said the victims were released on Wednesday night.
“Yes some of them are back home but 25 are still with the bandits,” he said.
“A woman with her child returned after they abandoned her in the bush.” he added.
