The Chairman of Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State, Hassan Kauye Farawa has launched a security outfit comprising 100 vigilantes and hunters to support the security officials in the state against insecurity.
Speaking during the launching ceremony of the security marshals at a stakeholder meeting on security, the chairman stated that the council was supporting security officials to ensure adequate security of lives and property.
He also disclosed that the council has placed each of them on an N20,000 monthly allowance starting from this month to encourage them to do more.
He also revealed that the council will build an area command office for the security outfit.
