A 22-year-old female pedestrian identified as Elizabeth James as been killed along the Sagamu-Benin Expressway by and unidentified driver.
According to Police Spokesman, Omolola Odutola the incident occurred on Sunday night near Dalof Filling Station, Sagamu axis of the expressway.
Odutola said the vehicle from the Ijebu-Ode axis towards the Sagamu interchange hit male and female pedestrians beside the express road.
According to her, the two victims suffered injuries and were taken to Live Well Hospital in Sagamu for treatment.
” Unfortunately, a 22-year-old female pedestrian named Elizabeth James from Sagamu died at the hospital,” she said.
The police publicist added that her body was transferred to Fakoya Mortuary in Sagamu.
“Police visited the accident scene with traffic authorities, collected evidence, and are currently investigating. Further updates will be provided,” Odutola said
