The Wife of the Adamawa State Governor,Hajiya Lani Ahmadu Fintiri has welcomed the first babies of the year at the State Specialist Hospital Yola.
Hajiya Fintiri who was seated prepared to welcome the lucky babies of the year received them into the world with gifts and motherly blessings.
The 3 newborn babies were all celebrated by Her Excellency Maman Marayu, represented by Hon. Wilbina Jackson he Commissioner for Education and Capital Development.
Receiving the lucky babies the First Lady said children are gift from God and must be cherished and protected, nurtured to grow to become what God has destined them to be.
She said the gesture was in keeping the tradition of welcoming newborn babies on the morning of each New Year but also to demonstrate Her Excellency’s love for children.
Gifts were presented to the mothers of the infants. In turn, the parents thanked the wife of the governor for sparing time to come to the hospital to receive the newborn babies. They said this will remain an indelible mark in the lives of the babies and their families.
The Medical Director Dr. Wadinga Dauda, Consultant General Surgeon of Specialist Hospital, thanked Her Excellency for her kind gesture given to the families of the New Born babies and also applauded His Excellency’s commitment to quality Health Care Delivery in Adamawa State.
