The police in Lagos State have begun an investigation into the assassination of a couple, Engr. Femi Egbeoluwa and his wife in Allen Avenue.
The couple were reportedly murdered at their residence at 1, Adefolu drive, Allen Avenue by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in the early hours of Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Engineer Femi Egbeoluwa was the Sogunro of Ilaro-Yewa in Ogun State.
The couple’s s househelp was also attacked by the yet-to-be-identified killers, who left her in a pool of blood.
A police source, who pleaded anonymity, said” The man is a chief from Ilaro in Ogun State .”
He added that ” “We got the report on Saturday. The man and his wife were assassinated, while their househelp was also injured.
Spokesperson of the Lagos State police command, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident .
He said the investigation is ongoing though no suspect had been arrested in connection with the incident at the time of filing this report.
“Investigation is ongoing. Policemen have visited the scene.
“The house help was found unconscious but she is responding to treatment now in the hospital,” the PPRO said.
“The case has been transferred to the homicide section of the state Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba. SCID,Panti. No suspect yet.”
