The Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media, Mrs Ivy Adodo-Ebojele, disclosed this in the Speaker’s condolence message to the family of the deceased.

According to her, on getting the news, they dispatched a delegation led by his Chief of Staff, Mr Odion Iruobe, on a condolence visit to the family of the late Omoarebokhae

“The speaker described his death as a great loss to the Assembly, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Owan West Local Government Area in general,” the message read.

“He commiserated with the family of the slain SSA and urged them to draw strength from God’s promises of not leaving those in mourning comfortless

“The Speaker assured that he would do everything within his powers to ensure the killers are arrested and made to face the wrath of the law

“He stated that, though it’s a painful situation, he prayed God in His infinite power to give the family a reason to smile again

“He prayed to God to repose the soul of the deceased and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”

On his part, the brother of the deceased, Mr. Elijah Omoarebokhai, expressed the family’s appreciation to the Speaker for sending a delegation to commiserate with the family.
