Unknown gunmen have reportedly attacked a police station in Atani, the headquarters of Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, in the early hours of today April 13.
Four police officers including a female operative lost their lives in the attack.
According to some residents of the community, the gunmen arrived the area at about 1:30am on Wednesday, and immediately launched an attack on the police facility.
Confirming the attack, the State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, says that efforts are being made to arrest the culprits.
