Gunmen in Jigawa State have killed a 25-year-old man, identified as Sabo Yusuf and abducted his mother and his brother in the Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that the gunmen attacked the house of Alhaji Abubakar of Kawo Quarters, in Birnin kudu town, killed one of his sons and took away his wife and another son.
Spokesman of Police in the State, Z.I. Aminudeen, who confirmed the incident said that the incident happened at about 0325HRS, at Birnin kudu town, where unknown persons trespassed, attacked and shot Abubakar’s sons on the chest before disappearing, with his wife and another son to an unknown destination.
Aminudeen said the victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kudu by the police, where he was certified dead by a medical doctor on duty.
He said the police were making efforts to rescue the kidnapped victims and track the fleeing culprits.
However, the Command also urged members of the public to be more vigilant, as well as report any suspicious movement of persons to the police for appropriate action.
