The district head of Chip community in Pankshin Local Government Area, Plateau State, Sunday Dajep has been abducted from his palace by unknown gunmen.
The monarch was reportedly kidnapped at about 11pm on Wednesday, April 5, when the gunmen forced their way into his palace in Chip community along Mangu-Shendam road.
Confirming the abduction, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Alfred Alabo, said the command is aware of the abduction and is on the trail of the gunmen.
“Men of the command have been on the trail of the gunmen.
“We launched a manhunt for the gunmen as soon as we got the distress call.”he said.
