A non-governmental and non-political Group; Akure Division Federal Workers Association of Nigeria (ADFWAN) have tasked it’s members and other eminent personalities in the Akure Division of Ondo State to always work in support of the development of the Akure Division and it’s people.

This charge was given at the 2021 Annual Public Lecture/Get-Together held recently at the mini hall of Aquinas College, Akure, by Dr. Afe Adedayo; an Associate Professor in the Department of History and International Relations of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State.

In an elaborate and enlightening lecture which had its theme as: “Akure Development In The Light Of Contemporary Socio-Economic Atmosphere, Using Human Resource Development As A Fundamental Tool”, Dr. Adedayo gave reasons why Federal Workers from the Akure Division of Ondo State; in particular; and Akure Indigenes; in general; must be patriotic to the cause of the growth of Akure and it’s people through human capacity development and promotion.

Earlier, the Chairman of ADFWAN; Comrade Michael Abiodun Oni; stated that the aim of the association was to attract developments to Akure Division starting from human resource development and the sensitization of it’s members in the service to work in support of growth and development of Akure Kingdom and other communities in the Division.

Dignitaries at the event included top government functionaries and royal fathers from the three local government areas which make up the Akure Division, namely, Akure North, Akure South and Ifedore Local Government Areas.

Akure Division Federal Workers Association of Nigeria is a conglomerate of Akure indigenes in all institutions and establishments of the Federal Public Service of Nigeria.
