The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has joined other prominent Nigerians to mourn the death of Alhaji Ghali Umar Na’Abba, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives.
In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Mr Edwin Olofu, Ganduje extends heartfelt condolences and reflects on the virtues of the late political stalwart.
Describing Na’Abba as a thoroughbred politician and legislator with sincere intentions for the country, Ganduje acknowledged the pivotal role played by Na’Abba during his tenure as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
He said Na’Abba courageously worked towards solidifying the independence of the legislative arm, even in the face of provocations from top executives.
Ganduje remarked, “His rich experiences and doggedness, even in the face of the risk of impeachment, were contributory to whatever achievements we recorded at the National Assembly today.
“He diligently served Nigeria. His wit, intellect, diligence, and warm personality were legendary.”
Expressing his prayers, Ganduje called upon Allah to grant Alhaji Ghali Umar Na’Abba Aljana Firdaus and to provide strength to the entire Na’Abba family, the people of Kano State, and the nation at large to bear this irreparable loss.
