Fire have razed about 86 shops in Potiskum main market in Dogo Nini ward, Potiskum Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Chairman of Traders Association in the Market, Alhaji Nasiru Mato, told Daily Trust that the fire incident which occurred on Sunday, January 8, around 8:36pm destroyed property and goods worth N40 million in the market.
Mato added that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
