The Enugu Zonal Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has arrested Johnson Monday Achiso, father of four girls in Enugu State.
Johnson was arrested for allegedly brutalising his daughters with weapons such as a hammer, knives, and iron rods.
He was arrested at Ugwuaji area in Enugu Metropolis following a tip off by concerned members of the public within the area.
The suspect, said to be a Togolese, has been accused of constantly inflicting grievous harm on his children using available weapons.
The children have been rescued and are currently at the NAPTIP Shelter for comprehensive rehabilitation, while the suspect is at the holding centre of the Agency undergoing further interrogation with the aim of unraveling the reason behind his grievous action.
